You need to drill out the structural rivets. BE CAREFUL. If you don’t keep the drill straight you will end up going at an angle and will elongate the holds. Just drill out the end so you can pull the deck off. You won’t be able to get the rivet out yet – because the back of the rivet – inside the boat – is covered with that frustrating piece of fiberglass that attaches the deck to the hull. I’ll show you how to actually remove the rivets later. For now – just drill out the ends.
